Please follow this checklist of important things to do prior to your surgery.
Please shower with Hibiclens soap for the two days prior to your surgery.
Unless told otherwise, please take your blood pressure medications as usual including the day of surgery.
If your procedure requires bowel prep, follow these instructions the day prior to surgery. Starting at midnight the night before surgery, do not eat or drink anything except blood pressure medication with a sip of water the morning of surgery.
Do not shave prior to surgery (we will do this in the operating room if it is necessary and shaving with a razor before surgery increases infections).
Follow the surgeon’s instructions regarding when to stop blood thinner medications (such as Coumadin, Plavix and Aspirin) and what to do with any diabetes medications. Call if there are any questions regarding this information.
